Q: What does IP access mean?
A: The TTX02 ships with a built in web server that is integrated with the management system. You can log in remotely over the web or locally via your PC or phone for access to all motor parameters and configuration.
Q: Does the OS affect safety?
A: The TTX02 runs Linux and takes only five seconds to boot. All safety related systems are independent of the Operating System control. Brakes and throttle have their own systems with a monitoring link in the Operating System core.
Q: Will the Operating System be open?
A: Yes. The Operating System will be available for free download (BETA April 2010)
Q: What are the improvements over Agni X01?
A: Higher power density batteries (more kW per kg), higher voltage (more kW/rpm) A new management system with real-time intelligence and monitoring.
Q: What is the rated maximum output continuous use output of an Agni motor?
A: Max current 400A for 20 seconds, at 90V this would be 36kW per motor)
Continuous 250A (22.5 kW)
Q: What energy capacity (in kWh) is in a fully charged bike?
A: The capacity depends upon the pack selected during purchase.
We offer three packs for our racing classes.
Sprint (4kWh) ; Circuit (7.5kWh) and Endurance (10kWh)
These packs can be installed in the same chassis. They are encased in a newly designed carbon fibre unit. Users can also configure the unit with replacement motors and batteries at their own cost.
Q: Can the TTX02 be made road legal?
A: Yes! The chassis is homologated and road legal. We won’t be making any changes that would affect those approvals. End users have the freedom to make the TTX02 road legal. Each vehicle ships with a VIN as well as our own IP number. Our warranty is limited to motor sport use only.
A: The dry weight (without batteries) is under a 100kg. Final weight depends upon battery pack installed.
Q: How much will the TTX02 cost? Can I lease the bike?
A: Target price for a complete bike with Circuit Pack is £25,000. This will be a complete platform to take part in any TTXGP championship.
Other options being investigated include a factory run race programme for anybody that wants to race. We also have the complete kits that can be installed into alternative chasses.
A: We will provide details of this by March 2010. It’s pretty exciting but all will be revealed by then.
A: Our target is to deliver the first orders by March 2010. In time for the first race in mid May 2010.
A: These are motor sport products so are sold as seen with end users free to modify. We warrant workmanship, but cannot entertain any damage caused whilst racing.
A: The road kit includes lights, mirrors and a number plate kit. Cost will vary depending upon which country the bike is being registered in. The road legal TTX02 is identical for all countries.
Once the kit is installed, the bike would be submitted to VOSA or national equivalent if outside the UK.
Motorcycle Single Vehicle Approval (MSVA) and MOT can be obtained. The MSVA test is a check that the design and construction of the bike meets UK regulations based upon type approval requirements. Our chassis meet these standards and is legal around the world. Parts of the test such as noise and emissions will not apply to the TTX02.
We are currently in discussion with underwriters to provide road legal insurance for those that decide to make the TTX02 road legal.
