TTX02 CLAIMS 2ND PLACE AT PEMBREY

Pete Ward of Team Electric Hussar riding a TTX02 claimed 2nd place at Round 3 of the TTXGP at Pembrey, finishing only seconds behind the race winner.  This moves him into 3rd in the TTXGP UK Championship.

Pete got another fantastic start from third on the grid to lead the pack for the first few laps of the race ahead of Team Agni's Jenny Tinmouth.  However, he then lost out to James Mcbride on the ManTTX bike and battled hard with Jenny for several laps before she eventually managed to break away as well.

Pete was able to use the acceleration advantage of the TTX02 out of the slow corners to keep Rob Moon behind on the sister Team Agni bike and then began chasing Jenny for second place.  Whilst closing on Jenny towards the end of the race James McBride began to slow on the ManTTX bike as their batteries depleted.

Pete was delighted with the performance of the bike and was confident that had the race been a couple of laps longer he would have been able to fight with Jenny for the win.  He set a fastest lap of 1:09:00 averaging 75.97mph only 0.4 seconds slower than the fastest lap of the race set by James McBride.

Annie Seel riding the sister TTX02 for Morris Motorcycles had markedly improved her riding in the break between Round 2 and looked much more comfortable on the bike.  She made a great start to move from 6th on the grid into 2nd but then dropped several positions before having some technical problems which caused the bike to intermittently cut out.  She came into the pits but a quick check over of the bike revealed nothing immediately obvious, so she was sent on her way and finished the race in 7th.  There were no issues with motor or controller temperature and we are working hard to identify the fault and ensure it does not occur again.

Morris and his team once again drove from Sweden to Wales to collect the bike so that Annie can get even more time riding the bike.

Upgrades are again expected for the next race at Brands on the 3rd October so the teams are expecting to be even more competitive.
